I was in Baunei, Sardinia italy last week (Tuesday to be precise) and saw this insane yacht up close from a hire boat with my girlfriend - they have a 12ft inflatable slide and jetskis on each side as well now. I think its close to £50 million nowadays!.

This reminds me of those Toyotas several years ago when the throttles would stick. For some crazy reason, people could not manage to put the gear selector in neutral, or God forbid, turn the engine off. Nope, they would run down the highway full speed and burn up the brakes, call 911 and talk to the operator for several minutes, but had no time to put the car in neutral. Yep, apparently same people now piloting yachts.

Fly-by-wire without robust redundancy is folly. On something with this kind of energy potential... absolutely criminal.
